Teaching

At USM, I am teaching graduate courses at our Stennis campus in Isotope Biogeochemistry (MAR683-Spring semesters) and Paleoceanography (MAR683-Fall semesters).

I am also teaching undergraduate courses offered at our Gulf Park campus in Oceans and Climate (MAR491-Fall of odd years, co-taught with Davin Wallace) and Marine Pollution (MAR491-Fall of even years). These and the graduate courses are available at other USM campuses by video-conferencing.

I have a couple video teaching samples I made during a certificate program in teaching (Kaufman certificate program, 2015) at MIT’s Teaching and Learning Laboratory. Check them out!

Primer on the pH scale and ocean acidification (5 mins.)

Plastic pollution in the ocean and its impact (10 mins.)
